A t that time ,audience applauded foe her persistence.Although she lost the game, he hard effort and insistency moved us and motivated us.

And this case also appreaded in tthe men singles final the next day. Two opponents named Murray and Djokovic were against each other. Due to the game, Murray's foot had blisters that affected the way he played. The doctor had to treat his wound with medicine. As human beings, if we had blisters on our foot, we may feel a lot of pain and don't want to walk. However, as an athlete, Murray had to withstand the pain and strive for the victory.

如何整理和准备演讲的“文稿提纲”(preparation outline)和“讲稿提纲”(speaking outline)。“文稿提纲”是用提纲的形式写成的演讲稿全文，而“讲稿提纲”则只包括演讲稿的要点。

演讲的几种主要形式，即：“照稿宣读”(reading from manuscript)，“全文背诵”(reciting from memory)，“即兴演讲”(speaking impromptu)和“半即兴演讲”(speaking extemporaneously)。

演讲中的三“yan”要领，即：“演”(artistic performance)、“眼”(eye contact)、“掩”(disguise imperfection)。“演”就是要通过演讲者的声音(vocal variety)及其在台上的面部表情(facial expression)和肢体语言(hand gestures and body language)更生动、到位地展示、传达情感和内容，调动听众的情绪，展示风采与个性，引起共鸣。

因此，“眼”的运用就格外重要，能够准确传递信息的眼神会给演讲者增色许多。“掩”是指经验丰富的演讲者要巧妙地掩饰自身的瑕疵。在台上出现忘词、紧张等问题是比较常见的，关键是要尽快弥补、调整语言与技巧，化险为夷，确保完整、流畅的演绎，给观众一种艺术的享受。

演讲的主要体裁，包括“解说性演讲”(informative speeches)、“说服性演讲”(persuasive speeches)、以及“特殊场合演讲”(speeches for special occasions)。在“特殊场合演讲”中，还将讨论“介绍性演讲”(speeches of introduction)、“颁奖性演讲”(speeches of presentation)、“受奖者致辞”(speeches of acceptance)、“纪念性演讲”(***memorative speeches)和“社交性演讲”(after-dinner speeches)。

given a choice, i would rather be ugly than live in such a world. i'd rather be a genuine dwarf ac***panying a snow white than be a snow white among nothing but snow whites. i would rather be myself.

Breaking deeply imbedded habitual tendencies such as procrastination, impatience, criticalness, or selfishness that violate basic principles of human effectiveness involves more than a little willpower and a few minor changes in our lives. “Lift off” takes a tremendous effort, but once we break out of the gravity pull, our freedom takes on a whole new dimension.

Like any natural force, gravity pull can work with us or against us. The gravity pull of some of our habits may currently be keeping us from going where we want to go. But it is also gravity pull that keeps our world together, that keeps the planets in their orbits and our universe in order. It is a powerful force, and if we use it effectively, we can use the gravity pull of habit to create the cohesiveness and order necessary to establish effectiveness in our lives.

shortly before she died, bob came over to my house alone one day. we talked about a lot of things, and then he told me that he wanted me to know that he'd always be there for me, even after mother was gone. then he asked if he could adopt me.

i could hardly believe my ears. tears streamed down my face. he wanted me - me!

this man had no obligation to me, but he was reaching out from his heart, and i accepted. during the adoption proceedings, the judge ***mented on all the undesirable duties of his profession and then with a tear in his eye, thanked us for brightening his day as he pronounced us father and daughter. i was twenty-five, but i was his little girl.

three short years later, bob, too, was diagnosed with cancer and was gone within the year. at first i was hurt and angry at god for taking this father away too. but eventually the love and acceptance that i felt from dad came through again, and i became, once more, grateful for the years we had.

on father's day i always reflect on what i've learned about fatherhood. i've learned that it is not dependent on biology or even on raising a child. fatherhood is a matter of the heart.

在英语考试中听力是锻炼我们英语沟通能力，如果我们学习了英语，却不会用英语沟通，而且别人说的英语自己也听不懂，那不是等于没学吗。我们之所以学习英语最主要的目的就是为了更好沟通，所以想要练习自己的听力，我们不但要多听英语磁带，更要多说，要纠正自己的发音，勤学苦练中能够学到更多。每天不能忘记自己的学习任务，坚持学习。可以利用早自习时间好好练习。

Today I am going to tell you a true story about a life-altering event that happened to an old hunter from Tibet’s northern lands.

Early in the morning, the hunter saw a group of Tibetan antelopes on grass hill near his tent. He rushed out of his tent and mounted his horse with his rifle. The antelopes all quickly ran away except one. A strong, fat one ran only a few steps and came back. It looked imploringly at him, stepped up towards him and then knelt on its knees with tears streaming down from its eyes. Feeling softhearted for a flashing moment, the hunter did not pull the trigger. But after he shut his eyes, pulled the trigger and the antelope fell onto the ground in a kneeling position with discernible tears still on its face.

The old hunter restlessly cut the Tibetan antelope open. What he had saw made him choke on his breath and the knife fell on the ground with a crash. He saw a baby antelope lying in the womb, surely dead. All of a sudden he realized why the antelope was strong and fat and why it heavily knelt before him and cried: It was imploring him to have mercy on its baby!

The old hunter buried the antelope and its unborn baby together with his hunting rifle that day

其次，中国人对学习英语抱怨太多。有人说我的记础不好，记忆力差。我没有语言天赋。

是不是学好英语一定要有天赋呢，是不是一定要有天赋才能把英语才成学好呢，我举一个简单的例子.就象开车，就象游泳，就象弹钢琴，如果你想成为一个游泳高手，应该怎么办就应该跳进游泳池里拼命地游.中国人怎么做呢，中国人就会到书店里买了很多关于游泳方面的书how to swim，然后去参加培训班，苦学十年拿到了游泳博士学位，然后充满的信心跳进长江，结果跳下去就没有了，最后连尸体都找不到，跳下去就死掉了，还有一个故事，一个游泳教练带着五十个一个班的同学，学习练习游泳，每次上课的时候都是教练奋不顾身跳下去，大都在旁边记笔记，老师游的很好，老师边游边说，记住哟，左手和右手的区别，记住要注意换气啊，老师换气原来是这么回事，老师真伟大，这象不象我们上课啊，同学们翻到第二页，第二页讲的是enjoy doing sth ，ask sb to do sth ,tell sb to do sth ,prevent sb from doing sth th.。

再次，中国人的学习方法错了，the chinese misdirected their energy! 中国人的智慧都被浪费在“无聊的语法分析”、“枯燥的单词记忆”、“自欺欺人的精读课文分析”和“弱智的打勾勾涂圈圈的练习和考试”上了!

中国人的语法学的最好，比美国的教授还厉害，但我们的英语水平连美国的五岁小孩都不如，你想想我们开始学喊爸爸，妈妈，叔叔，阿姨再见时，我们的爸妈是否这样说，孩子爸爸，妈妈叔叔，阿姨都有是主语，再见是谓语。最可怕的是外国人回头说了一句，damn it ,shut up ,get out of my face now。外国人骂你，你不知道，啊，那个外国人在夸我。

另外中国还喜欢抱怨自己的单词量不够，总是把自己学不好英语归根于自己的词汇量不够，自己的单词少，其实，这是个很有趣的事情，你想美国的五岁的小孩子单词量有中国的大学生的单词多好，绝对没有的，但中国的大学生却没有外国的五岁的小朋友说的好，为什么会这样呢，因为你的练习不够，而不是你的单词量不够。此时有的同学会说了我们是不是不要记单词了，不是这样的，我们反对孤立地记忆单词，因为人脑不是电脑，大量的记也会大量地忘，那应该怎么记呢，我们应该用句子来记，举了例子：在我们精读课本上的：
